Selena Gomez has officially stepped into her next chapter, saying “I do” to music producer Benny Blanco in California on Saturday, September 27. The 33-year-old actress and singer, adored worldwide for her authenticity, stunned in a custom Ralph Lauren creation that blended Hollywood glamour with a modern bridal edge.

Gomez’s gown featured a halter-neck floral detail and a structured bodice, offering both elegance and individuality. Designed exclusively by Ralph Lauren, it was a nod to timeless romance with a touch of boldness that fans have come to expect from her. Blanco, 37, matched the moment in his own Ralph Lauren suit, sealing their fashion-forward vows in coordinated style.

Her hair, crafted by stylist Renato Campora, carried echoes of Old Hollywood. Styled into a Marcel wave bob, Gomez’s look had fans online calling her “the modern-day Elizabeth Taylor.” On Instagram, one admirer wrote, “She looks like she just walked out of a 1950s film reel—utter perfection.”

The couple’s journey to the altar has been anything but rushed. They confirmed their romance in December 2023, got engaged a year later, and shared their joy with fans on Instagram. Gomez’s caption, “forever begins now..”, instantly trended worldwide, showing the emotional weight of the moment for her supporters.

Blanco revealed that Gomez co-designed her engagement ring, a dazzling marquise diamond inspired by her song Good For You. It was a symbolic choice, weaving music into the fabric of their love story.

The Guest List That Broke the Internet

It wouldn’t be a Selena Gomez wedding without a star-studded guest list. From Taylor Swift to Paris Hilton and Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, Hollywood heavyweights reportedly filled the venue. Social media quickly lit up with clips and blurry snapshots, fans speculating on performances and speeches. One viral tweet joked, “Imagine being the DJ at a wedding where Taylor Swift and Benny Blanco are on the dance floor—no pressure.”

    The Road to “I Do”

Both stars kept most details of the ceremony under wraps, though their pre-wedding celebrations made headlines. Blanco hosted a bachelor weekend in Las Vegas, while Gomez partied with friends in Cabo San Lucas, donning playful white outfits and a cheeky “bride to be” veil.

In interviews earlier this year, the couple admitted they were hesitant about traditions like a first dance. Gomez laughed off the idea, saying she’d be embarrassed, while Blanco added, “She’s shy.” It’s a refreshingly relatable sentiment in a world of over-the-top celebrity weddings.

    Why This Wedding Resonates

For Gomez’s fans, this wedding feels like a personal victory. Over the years, she has been open about her struggles with health and love. Now, marrying Blanco—who she has called her “best friend”—the moment feels like a story of healing, joy, and new beginnings.

On TikTok, the hashtag #SelenaWedding racked up millions of views within hours. Fans shared emotional edits of Gomez through the years, set to her ballads, with captions like “She finally got her fairytale.”

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez are officially engaged after nearly a decade together, but the news of their romance milestone has quickly been overshadowed by rumours of a prenuptial agreement. With Ronaldo’s $671 million fortune and Georgina’s rise as a global influencer, the reported contract has set social media abuzz.

A Fairytale Engagement with Business Like Undertones

    Source: X

On August 11, 2025, Georgina confirmed their engagement on Instagram, showing off a diamond sparkler worth an estimated $5 million. Her caption, “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives,” had fans swooning. But behind the romance lies practical planning.

Portuguese magazine TV GUIA claims a prenup has been in place since 2017, shortly after the birth of their daughter Alana Martina. According to reports, the agreement ensures Georgina would receive over $114,000 every month for life if the couple ever part ways. She would also reportedly retain ownership of Ronaldo’s Madrid mansion in La Finca, valued at more than $5.6 million.

Why a Prenup Makes Sense for Ronaldo

For Ronaldo, now the highest-paid athlete in the world thanks to his $230 million Al-Nassr contract and lucrative endorsements, such measures aren’t unusual. High-profile athletes and celebrities often take a “business-like” approach to their personal lives to protect vast fortunes while ensuring their partners and children are secure.

This alleged prenup reflects a balance: Ronaldo safeguards his empire, while Georgina is guaranteed stability as the mother of two of his children and stepmother to his three others.

    Fans React: Romance or Calculation?

Reactions online have been split. Some fans argue that a prenup is a necessary step given Ronaldo’s global profile, calling it a “smart move” to avoid messy financial battles later. Others, however, see it as a reminder of the transactional side of celebrity relationships, with one X (formerly Twitter) user writing, “Five million ring, million-dollar prenup — feels more like a contract than love.”

Still, many supporters highlight that the couple has weathered nearly ten years together, far longer than most high-profile romances. For them, the prenup doesn’t cheapen the love story but shows the pair are grounded enough to handle the realities of their lifestyle.

A Modern Love Story with Old School Caution

Whether or not the full details of the prenup are true, one fact remains: Ronaldo and Georgina have built a life that blends romance, family, and empire. Their decision — if confirmed — speaks to a cultural shift where even the most glamorous couples acknowledge that love and law often go hand in hand.

For Ronaldo fans, the engagement is a fairytale moment. For Georgina’s followers, it’s another chapter in her remarkable journey from shop assistant to global icon. For both, it’s proof that love stories in the age of billion-dollar fortunes look a little different, but can still be just as real.

Mzansi’s favourite beauty queens are proving that 2025 is the year of love. Within weeks of each other, Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi and former Miss South Africa Natasha Joubert tied the knot in lavish Cape Winelands weddings, while the current Miss SA, Mia le Roux, revealed her engagement. Fans have called it the “season of fairytales” — and judging by the glamour and romance, they’re not wrong.

On 22 March, Zozibini Tunzi gave her fans a glimpse into what many are calling the wedding of the year. Held at the scenic Belair Pavilion in the Cape Winelands, her big day was elegant yet deeply personal.

The wedding video, shared online, captured every moment of emotion: from her father walking her down the aisle to her husband, Luthando Bolowana, declaring his love in a recorded message that had South Africans reaching for tissues. “You are the love of my life, you are my best friend, keeper of my heart,” he said.

The atmosphere was as polished as it was heartfelt. Guests followed a cream and black-tie dress code, while musicians Manana and Muneyi provided live performances that turned the evening into an unforgettable celebration.

Tunzi’s guest list was a who’s who of South African celebrity culture — Connie Ferguson, Nomzamo Mbatha, Basetsana Kumalo, Ama Qamata, and Anele Mdoda were all in attendance. Social media quickly lit up with clips and photos, with fans comparing the lavish production to the golden era of Top Billing. “This is exactly what the country has been missing — pure Top Billing energy,” one user posted.

Natasha Joubert: Three Dresses, One Dream

Just down the road at another Cape Winelands venue, former Miss SA Natasha Joubert, now Natasha Vermaak, celebrated her own love story in style. Her wedding to Enrico Vermaak at Cavalli Estate was nothing short of breathtaking.

Known for her eye for glamour, Joubert stunned in not one but three designer gowns by Jolandie Fouche. She began the day with a floor-length beaded gown that whispered timeless elegance, switched into a playful short reception dress with a statement bow, and closed the evening in a sleek satin gown paired with a feather boa. Each look went viral, cementing her status as one of the most stylish brides Mzansi has ever seen.

The event, orchestrated by Alon Events, was polished to perfection. From the décor to the Cape sunset setting, every detail matched the high standard fans have come to expect from Miss South Africa royalty. Joubert herself admitted she cried through most of the day — “out of joy,” she later wrote on Instagram.

Fans were quick to react online, with many pointing out how Joubert’s bridal fashion raised the bar for South African weddings. “Three gowns in one night? She’s officially the Beyoncé of brides,” joked one follower.

Mia le Roux: An Engagement That Stole Hearts

    Source: Pop Pulse on X

While Tunzi and Joubert shared their vows, the reigning Miss South Africa Mia le Roux quietly revealed her own milestone: she’s engaged to longtime partner Luke Tenoever.

Le Roux shared dreamy engagement photos showing off her emerald-green ring, while wearing a series of chic white dresses. Her heartfelt caption struck a chord with fans: “My heart will choose you over and over again.”

The post attracted hundreds of comments, from friends to fellow beauty queens, with many calling it the perfect way to round off a month of Miss SA love stories.

Why It Matters: Miss SA and Mzansi’s Love Affair with Weddings

Miss South Africa winners have always held a special place in the country’s heart. From their crowning moments to their personal milestones, fans see them as national icons. This wave of engagements and weddings has sparked nostalgia for an era where glamorous events were national talking points — something once captured weekly on Top Billing.

But in 2025, it’s social media doing the job. Instagram reels, TikToks, and wedding film snippets are giving South Africans a front-row seat to the glamour, and the reaction shows just how invested the public remains in these queens’ journeys beyond the crown.

For now, one thing is certain: love is trending, and Miss South Africa’s leading ladies are setting the tone for a season of romance in Mzansi.

For most couples, the wedding budget decides everything. The dress, the flowers, the music, the guest list. And the catering of course, because that’s most likely to be the biggest talking point amongst all the aunties of the family.

On the other hand, for an elite circle of royals, billionaires, and A-list stars, the budget isn’t a limitation. It’s one massive opportunity to go all out and have the wedding that most people could only dream about. These are the weddings where “splurge” is the starting point, and the final bill could probably buy you a private island.

From London’s grandest cathedrals to the romance of Venice’s canals, we’re giving you a closer look at 12 of the most extravagant weddings in modern history — the people, the gowns, the guest lists, and the staggering price tags that made headlines.

    More Than Just Price Tags

These weddings weren’t just expensive — they were statements of personal style, power, and influence. Royals used them to reinforce tradition and diplomacy; Hollywood couples turned them into personal productions. Public reaction has always been split: some marvel at the romance, others question the spending.

But whether you’re a royal watcher or a pop culture fan, these weddings are cultural moments — ones that, love them or loathe them, will be talked about for decade

The world loves a good comeback story, and there’s no bigger one than that of Britney Spears. The pop star is thriving after being let out of a brutal 13-year conservatorship and is currently in the midst of wedding planning.

Spears and fiancé, Sam Asghari, have reportedly set a wedding date. Much to the chagrin of her fans, this won’t be made public.

The award-winning singer got engaged to 28-year-old Asghari back in September after seven years of dating, recently revealing that they know when they’ll be saying “I do.”

The soon-to-be husband went straight to his Instagram stories to share the news

“Our lives have been a real-life fairytale. Also, The big day has been set! But nobody will know until the day after”

What was revealed though was the shiny engagement ring that Spears wore on her ring finger. The diamond ring reportedly cost $70 000 and was a labour of love, according to Asghari who refused any celebrity sponsorship and decided to purchase it out of his own pocket.

“I wanted to work and pay for it because, you know, a lot of celebrities get it for free for advertisement and stuff. I said, ‘I want it to mean something, and I want it to mean (something) from a working man.’ ”

    Sam Asghari Instagram

The 40-year-old singer, who’s pregnant with her third child, has eluded to the fact that she already has her wedding outfit.

“Introducing Wendy (cat emoji)!!! And yes, this is the veil to my wedding dress (bride emoji) !!!(sic),” she captioned her adorable Instagram image.

We couldn’t be more excited to see what she decides to rock on her big day!

The world has been tilted on its axis at the news of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s engagement.

The Blink-182 drummer decided to put a ring on it, and boy, was it a RING. Barker popped the question at Montecito Beach on Sunday, October 17, and social media has been flooded with images of the happy couple ever since. But it’s the enormous engagement ring that has us in a tailspin.

Go big or go home appears to be the route Barker has taken, with Kardashian’s left finger now sporting a giant oval-cut diamond engagement ring worth a whopping $1 million. According to Page Six, her new bling appears to be larger than 15 carats in a pavé or hidden halo setting.

The loved-up couple has been dating since January, though they’ve been friends and neighbours for quite some time with the pair making it Instagram official in February. However, it was their trip to Venice, Italy that really had tongues wagging as the pair was unrelenting when it came to showing off their affection for each other. Kardashian famously dated Scott Disick on-and-off for ten years, with the oldest Kardashian sister noting that they would have still been together having Disick not messed up his sobriety during a KUWTK reunion special in June. The two share three children together, while Barker was previously married to former beauty queen Shanna Moakler. He shares two children with her.

The engagement was a sight to behold too! Countless red roses appeared to envelop Montecito’s white sandy beach, with an array of candles careful placed within a circle of red, adding to the overall ambience.

It looked to be a picture-perfect proposal and we couldn’t be happier for the pair!

Paris Hilton is engaged! The socialite turned entrepreneur and DJ said yes to boyfriend Carter Reum on Saturday, February 13 after being together for over a year.

Reum popped the question while on a trip on a private island to celebrate Hilton’s 40th birthday on February 17.

Taking to social media, Hilton announced their exciting news with a sweet caption.

“When you find your soulmate, you don’t just know it. You feel it. My love & I have been together since our first date, and for my birthday, he arranged a special trip to tropical paradise.  As we walked to dinner along the beach, Carter led us to a cabana adorned with flowers and dropped to one knee. Her engagement ring was designed by Jean Dousset, the great-grandson of Louis Cartier, reports PEOPLE Magazine.

After the proposal, the pair enjoyed an intimate celebration with family members, such as Hilton’s sister Nicky.

Hilton and Reum, a businessman and family friend, have been dating since November 2019. They have known each other for 15 years, and have been together for over a year.

“I’ve known him for 15 years. Then [Reum’s sister Halle Hammond] invited us to Thanksgiving and we just had this incredible chemistry. We had our first date and haven’t spent a night apart since. It’s pretty amazing,” she told People Magazine.

“After my last breakup, I thought I was going to be alone forever,” she says. “I was like, I give up. I’ll just focus on myself. I don’t need anyone. So to have actually fallen in love, I just feel so grateful.”

This is the starlet’s fourth engagement. Hilton was previously engaged to model Jason Shaw and Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis in the 2000s, and called off her engagement to actor Chris Zylka in 2018.

American footballer Aaron Rodgers shocked fans when he announced he was engaged while accepting an award. It turns out his fiancé is none other than Big Little Lies actress Shailene Woodley.

On February 6, Rodgers accepted the NFL Most Valued Player award during a virtual appearance on the NFL Honors broadcast. During his speech, he casually slipped in that he was engaged but did not name his fiancé.

“2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing, memorable moments, 180 straight days of having my nose hair scraped, playing for very little fans or no stands the entire season. I got engaged and I played some of the best football in my career,” he said.

“So I’d like to thank, first and foremost, my teammates for their support, their inspiration, protection, incredible play on the field … off the field I’ve got a great group of people that support me, so I’d like to thank my team.” He then listed a slew of people before shouting out “my fiancée.”

A source confirmed to People magazine that the Descendants actor and the Green Bay Packers quarterback are engaged and incredibly happy.

“They are very happy together. It’s not surprising he proposed so fast. When you know, you know, right?” said the insider.

This engagement comes mere days after US Magazine confirmed the pair were dating.
