One morning during the summer Wilinda Hanekom and neighbour Daniela Louw were chatting and gazing over the light golden wheat lands. On the dining table was an array of flower arrangements that were used for a wedding reception at the famous “Die Stoor venue”. Daniela, a photographer by trade, started taking photos of the flowers. The bright, natural colours of these flowers were the inspiration they needed to start Swier and to print these unique designs on quality material.

Initially, Swier started selling their products in the surrounding craft markets but the news spread like wildfire and the reactions at markets was so overwhelming that people all over South Africa started to contact the team to order their Swier products.
