Dynasty star Elizabeth Gillies secretly tied the knot

Singer and Dynasty star Elizabeth Gillies surprised fans by announcing she is a married woman. The former Nickeloden star secretely said ‘I do’ to producer and composer Michael Corcoran back in August.

The pair tied the knot on August 8 in an intimate garden ceremony, months after postponing their orginal April wedding due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The wedding was a small affair, with only 10 guests in attendance. Gillies told Vogue they were both tested before the wedding, and quarantined with family for two weeks before.

The bride wore a satin A-line gown and floor length lace veil. Her father was the wedding officiant, and their dog Bubba stood in as ring bearer.

“It has been such a long road for us, and at times [it] felt like a total impossibility that it was hard to believe we’d actually gotten to that moment where it was really happening,” Gillies told Vogue. “Once we were exchanging vows, it hit me that my dad was marrying us and our loved ones were there, and I think I turned to Michael and mouthed, ‘Oh, my God, we actually did it.’ We were so happy.”

Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay ties the knot

Jessica Brown Findlay, famed for her role as Laby Sybil Crawley in Downton Abbey, is a married woman. The actress said ‘I do’ to fellow actor Ziggy Heath in a wedding worthy of royalty.

The pair tied the knot on September 12, and recently took to social media to announce their exciting news.

“♥️wins every time. A weekend of dreams. Small celebrations felt HUGE. And now what a birthday! X I love you. ♥️,” she wrote on Instagram.

Findlay wore a three-quarter-length sleeved lace dress and accessorised with an embellished headband. Heath sported a white button-down shirt and patterned vest.

The pair have been together since 2017 when they met on set of the racy Georgian drama Harlots. Congratulations to the newly weds!

Justin and Hailey Bieber celebrate two-year anniversary

It has been two years since Justin and Hailey Bieber secretely tied the knot. The pair surprised fans with their nuptials back in 2018, which came after a years-long on and off relationship.

To celebrate their special day, it appears the couple had a little picnic. Hailey shared these snaps of their low-key lunch.

Rumours that the pair quietly got married at a courthouse begin to circulate in September 2018 after the pair were spotted getting a marriage licence in New York. In an interview, Hailey’s uncle Alec Baldwin confirmed that the pair secretly married.

Justin later confirmed the news on Instagram with his caption, “My wife is awesome.” A day later, Hailey changed her social media handles to “Hailey Baldwin Bieber”.

The pair had their official religious ceremony in Montage Palmetto Bluff, Bluffton, South Carolina on September 30.

Hailey stunned in an off-the-shoulder gown designed by Virgil Abloh and a statement veil with the words ’till death do us part” stitched onto it in white block lettering. But she didn’t stop there. She had two reception looks: a Ralph & Russo halterneck and a Vera Wang slip dress that she paired with sneakers.

Their second nuptials were attended by their many famous friends, including Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Justine Sky, Jaden Smith, Joan Smalls, and Justin’s manager Scooter Braun.

Love Island couples who tied the knot

A summer of love, friendship and drama, what more could you want? British reality show Love Island brings a group of sexy singles from across the UK together with a singular mission: to find love. Those who don’t, are dumped from the island, and at the end one couple are crowned winners. They pocket a lofty $50 000 that they can share or steal from one another.

Love Island has seen immense success, leading to American and Australian versions of the show. While the UK series has had a few hot and heavy romances and engagements over the past six seasons, very few of the couples actually ended up walking down the aisle.

Here are the islanders who found enduring love and have tied the knot.

Olivia Buckland & Alex Bowen

Olivia had a tough time on the show’s second season, which was largely hailed the most raucous season that lead to producers imposing heavy rules on future contestants. She eventually found love with Alex, and together they came in second place in the show’s finale.

While they didn’t win the season, they did become the first Love Island couple to get married. They said ‘I do’ in September 2018, and hope to have children soon.

Cara De La Hoyde & Nathan Massey

Cara and Nathan established themselves as a strong couple from the beginning of the show, and stayed together throughout. They eventually won the second season in 2016. Since winning, the pair briefly split up before getting back together and having their first child, son Freddie-George.

They have since tied the knot in 2019 and recently welcomed their second child, a daughter named Delilah.

Jessica and Dom met on the show’s third season back in 2017, but the pair were separated a few weeks into filming when Jessica was voted off the island. Their love stayed strong, and they became official soon after Dom left the show half way through. They announced their engagement a few months later and tied the knot in October 2018.

In 2019 they welcomed their first child, whose name they have not publicly released.

Siânnise and Luke were fan-favourites from the get-go in the show’s sixth season in early 2020, which was also the first series to be shot in Cape Town as the ‘winter season’. They had so many sweet moments on the show and came in second place, although many wanted them to win.

It seems coming in second is good luck for contestants, as the pair now live together and have a joint Youtube channel where fans can keep up with their lives.

Humanitarian islander Camilla was a breath of fresh air in the show’s third season. The explosive ordnance disposal specialist was unlike any other contestant in Love Island‘s history, and found her perfect match in model Jamie Jewitt after a rough time struggling to connect with men in the villa.

The pair have been together since meeting on the show in 2017, and they are expecting the birth of their first child in October 2020.

Actors Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively recently reached their eight year wedding anniversary.

The private pair have not shared any pictures or sweet messages to one another on social media, but we’re sure this fun-loving couple is celebrating in secret.

The famous lovers met and became friends on the set of their 2010 film Green Lantern. A year later, they accidentally started dating through a double date.

“We went on a double date. She was on a date with another guy, and I was on a date with another girl — and that was, like, the most awkward date for the respective parties because we were just like fireworks coming across,” Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly’s SiriusXM show

They married in 2012, controversially choosing South Carolina’s Boone Hall Plantation as their wedding venue.

Since then, the pair have welcomed three daughters: James (3) Inez (1) and the latest addition to their family, Betty. The couple seem as loved-up as ever.

Lily Allen and David Harbour tie the knot in Vegas

Tinseltown has a newly married celebrity couple. Singer Lily Allen said ‘I do’ to Stranger Things star David Harbour in a secret Las Vegas ceremony on Monday, September 7.

They celebs exchanged vows at the Graceland Wedding Chapel. In true Vegas fashion, they even had an Elvis impersonator officiate the wedding. This wedding location proves popular with celebs, as both Jon Bon Jovi and Billy Ray Cyrus have tied the knot here previously.

Allen and Harbour took to Instagram to share some snaps from their special day.

Princess Beatrice’s wedding dress to go on display

Eager fans of the British monarchy may now witness another famed Royal wedding dress up close. Princess Beatrice’s vintage wedding gown will go on display at Windsor Castle later this month.

The exhibition will be available to the public from September 24 through November 22. Both the dress and a silk replica of Princess Beatrice’s flowers will be included in the exhibition.

Almost two months after their planned wedding date, Princess Beatrice and entrepreneur Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi tied the knot in a small, private ceremony at Windsor on Friday, July 17 at the Royal Chapel of All Saints. They had their closest family members in attendance, including her Majesty the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of York.

For her big day, the Princess wore a stunning vintage dress by Norman Hartnell and accessorised with the Queen Mary diamond fringe tiara, both belonging to Her Majesty the Queen. The tiara was worn by Queen Elizabeth on her wedding day in 1947.

She carried a bouquet of trailing jasmine, pale pink and cream sweet peas, royal porcelain ivory spray roses, pink o’hara garden roses, pink wax flower and baby pink astible. Of course, she had a sprig of myrtle in it as well to continue royal tradition.

The wedding dress had been slightly altered and modernised for the big day.

“The full-skirted silhouette was softened to give a more contemporary, simplified shape, and the underskirt and petticoats were recreated and bound with silk tulle. Short sleeves of triple organza were added to the straps and embroidered with vintage diamantés to match the original Hartnell embroidery design,” reads a statement about the new exhibition.

Michelle Obama shares honest advice on marriage

Michelle and Barack Obama are a powerhouse. The former President of the United States and former First Lady have always leaned on each other throughout their marriage, and rise to power – Michelle has opened up about the difficulties they faced along the way.

In an Instagram post, the former First Lady shared a brand new image from their 1992 wedding, along with a few wise words on marriage.

“Last week on The #MichelleObamaPodcast, Conan and I reflected on our marriages. This relationship can be one of the most foundational pieces of our identities—bringing us so much joy, meaning, and support every single day,” she wrote.

“But one thing is for sure: It also takes a lot of work; a lot of honesty with ourselves and our partners. That’s one thing I’ve learned.”

The Obama’s tied the knot on October 3, 1992 at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. Almost three decades later, the pair have built an incredible empire and expanded their family with daughters Malia (22) and Sacha (19).

Speaking on the podcast, Michelle explains that their marriage has not always been easy.

“There were times that I wanted to push Barack out of the window. And I say that because it’s like, you’ve got to know the feelings will be intense. But that doesn’t mean you quit. And these periods can last a long time. They can last years,” she said.

“Young couples, they face these challenges and they’re ready to give up because they think they’re broken. And I just want to say, look, if that breaks a marriage, then Barack and I have been broken off and on, throughout our marriage, but we have a very strong marriage.

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka celebrate sixth anniversary

Actor Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka recently celebrated six years of marriage.

The loved-up couple took to Instagram to write sweet messages of devotion to one another on their special day.

“Six years ago. Perhaps the happiest day of my life. Since then, thousands of memories. No regrets. Thank you, David, for both creating and rocking my world. I am forever #grateful,” wrote Harris.

The pair met in 2004 and quickly became friends. Burtka eventually called it quits with his long-distance partner and the pair went on their first date to see Taking Lives starring Angelina Jolie. Thereafter, they quickly became inseparable.

Burtka proposed to Harris in 2007 on the street corner where they met for the first time. “We were on our way to an event at an Indian casino 45 minutes out of town in a limousine, and David wanted to stop for some reason that I didn’t quite get … And then he got on one knee and proposed, and I was so freaked out by it that I said, ‘Yes,’ but I didn’t know what it meant. Then I got the ring and loved it,” Harris told Out Magazine.

Since they hadn’t yet married, Harris proposed to Burtka the next year on Valentines Day. After two years of being engaged, the pair welcomed their twins, son Gideon Scott and daughter Harper Grace.

They finally tied the knot in a wedding ceremony in Perugia, Italy in 2014. Elton John performed, and both grooms wore looked amazing in Tom Ford tuxedos.
