A love story like no other. Or rather, a love story that TikTok deems taboo. Age has always been a sticky subject, especially when it comes to large age gaps, but Cheryl and Quran McCain are breaking stereotypes – one TikTok video at a time.
The lovebirds, who hail from the United States, have been a hit on the video-sharing platform, thanks to their unique love story and the 37-year age gap between them.
But despite the massive age difference, Cheryl says she’s never had such a strong connection with any man before.
“We are so in sync, it’s like I feel what he feels and vice versa,” she told W24.
Cheryl danced her way to fame a few months ago after deciding to share her moves with the online world.
“When I did share it, I instantly got 8 000 likes. I never planned to go viral,” she told the publication.
But with positive feedback came nasty comments that left the 67-year-old heartbroken. However, her 24-year-old groom encouraged her to continue doing what made her happy.

The bride went on to post a thoughtful video of her dancing with Quran to the app, which included the caption: “I was gonna stop making TikToks because of all the hate but a great soul from my past kept me uplifted. I appreciate him because I was really gonna delete the app. I have been bullied all my life because of my eating disorder and I appreciate you King.”
Despite brushing off the hate and raking up five million views on TikTok, the couple has still been bombarded by hate. However, love remained at the centre, with the two getting married in Gatlinburg, Tennessee mountains.
“He is my soulmate, he genuinely makes me happy, and I make him happy. He is in tune with his emotions, which makes us so much closer, and it’s what I love most about him. I said yes because I felt it in my heart that there was an unbreakable connection,” she shared regarding the fairytale connection.
Love them or hate them, this couple is a beautiful testament to the fact that love can come in all shapes, sizes and ages.
